Newmarket resident Robin Mackin is a member of the Canadian national women's softball team that will compete at the Beijing Olympics in August. The 20-year-old right-handed pitcher is currently on leave from her studies at Fresno State University where she is on scholarship to focus on the Canadian team's preparations for the Olympics. A graduate of Newmarket High School, Mackin is sharing her experiences leading up to the Games with a weekly blog.

Please remember, NMSA is  run entirely by volunteers. The president and executive, coaches and conveners are all people just like you who give their time to ensure the young people of Newmarket have a strong, competitive softball league, second to none. NMSA will be looking for volunteers for the 2008 season.
