These ten rules have been selected as rules about which there are many common misconceptions. These misconceptions then lead to many forms of abuse whether it be heckling from the fans who misunderstand (or don’t agree with) the rule, verbal abuse from coaches and/or players, etc.

How to Correctly Peg Down the Bases
The picture on the right shows the correct way to peg down the bases. The "X" indicates which side of the bag is attached to the ground. By ensuring the bags are correctly fasten to the ground will greatly reduce injuries to players when they slide into the base.

NMSA is continuing with the program of requiring all coaches and assistant coaches to submit to the vulnerable sector screening. In past years, you could have sign a consent form and the vulnerable sector screening would have been completed within 48 hours.
In October 2010, the RCMP changed the process. The applicant most complete the form and then present themselves, in person with the form to the police. The police check your birth date against their data base. If there is no match than it will take about 2-3 weeks to complete your check.
